It is race time people and we’ve got a crew that could shred any time record at any track. We’ve been training at least three times a week just to knock down our trade out times. We’ve got our crew chief in his high chair who calls the shots out to our drivers, spotters, and pit crew and the guy’s mind works like a game of Tetris. It’s like he’s got the whole race planned out and keeps everybody on edge but in a good way.
It’s really about preparation to be honest. We can work in tandem or be switched on sides so we’re not stepping on each other’s toes but I think that our best is having all of our tools and gear out in the Team Tent right behind us. Keeping them nearby not just helps but it keeps Chief just a little bit calmer.
